Southern Illinois Case Coordination Services, Inc. is always looking for exceptional people to fill the role of an Independent Service Coordinator (ISC). Our ISCs work out of their home and typically are in the office doing paperwork half of the week and out of their office doing visits the other half of the week. Candidate Qualifications
To qualify for an Independent Service Coordinator (ISC), one must be a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP). A QIDP must have minimum of one year experience working directly with people with Developmental Disabilities and possess one of the following credentials:
- A human services professional with a bachelor’s degree in human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology
- A licensed registered nurse
- A professional recreation staff person with a bachelor’s degree in recreation or in a specialty area such as art, dance, music, or physical therapy
- A social worker with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited or approved program
- A certified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
- A certified physical therapist
- A certified physical therapy assistant or graduate of an approved two-year college-level program
- A speech-language pathologist or audiologist
- A registered professional dietician
- A licensed doctor of medicine (MD) or osteopathy (DO)
